Fitch Ratings is adding a highly motivated credit professional to the Asset Backed Securities (ABS) team as a Director. This position will focus on Digital Infrastructure Securitizations including wireless towers, small cell networks, fiber network assets and related assets that are integral to transmitting data and creating digital networks.

Successful candidates should demonstrate previous experience in digital infrastructure or telecom and an ability lead new transaction analysis and independently formulate credit views. Strong communication skills are essential to this leadership role with broad internal and external opportunities withing this sector.

We’ll Count on You To:

  • Oversee the monitoring of existing ratings and direct new rating assignments across various structured finance transactions.
  • Provide leadership in analyzing credit, legal, and structural elements of complex transaction structures.
  • Ensure the production of high-quality written reports, including credit committees, criteria, and market commentary.
  • Represent Fitch in communicating rating methodologies and criteria to senior stakeholders.
  • Lead major research initiatives and drive the development of new criteria within the group.
  • Cultivate and enhance relationships with key rating clients and industry leaders.

 

You May be a Good Fit if:

  • You hold a BA/BS degree and a minimum of 7-years work experience with corporate finance or credit analysis background in telecommunications, digital infrastructure, or related sectors. Experience or willingness to transition into structured finance/ABS rating frameworks is essential
  • You have knowledge of digital infrastructure assets or experience with or knowledge of the telecom industry.
  • You have demonstrated experience with corporate financial statement analysis, financial accounting, financial projections, and credit risk analysis.
  • You have understanding of capital markets, debt issuance and securitization.
  • You have strong track record of analytical and quantitative skills.
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including confidence to communicate with issuers, bankers, investors, and other market participants.
  • You enjoy working collaboratively and have strong interpersonal skills

 

What Will Make You Stand Out:

  • Direct experience in credit analysis of telecoms, fiber network or wireless tower companies, either buy-side, sell-side, or rating agency is prized
  • Technical understanding of digital infrastructure technology and/or operations of companies operating in this space. Passion for revenue / expense forecasting analysis, with practical experience showcasing strong technical ability
  • Direct experience with ABS credit or structured finance is a plus, but not required
  • Experience reviewing legal documentation relating to the issuance of debt (e.g. indentures, promissory notes, security agreements, and related documents.)

FOR NEW YORK: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $150,000 and $180,000 per year. Actual salaries will be determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors. Base pay is one part of Fitch’s total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, long-term incentives, and other benefits sponsored by Fitch.
