Fitch Ratings is recruiting a Senior Analyst level Credit analyst in Fitch’s Riyadh Office. This is a newly created position, covering industrial local Saudi Arabian issuers. Further growth in this sector is anticipated.

 

The Analyst will be expected to cover these different industries to some degree. Analytical industry support for the role will be forthcoming from Fitch’s industry teams in EMEA. The successful candidate will be included in the EMEA industry team which their portfolio most closely matches. The position will suit experienced corporate credit analysts, Equity Research Analysts and Big 4 Consultants or Accountants interested to transition into credit analysis.

  

We’ll Count on You To:

Analyse and form an opinion on the creditworthiness of corporates in Saudi Arabia primarily in the industrials sector. The candidate will analyse credits and liaise with issuer on information gathering and present and discuss their recommendations to a rating committee and will also be responsible for writing issuer-related research reports as well as insightful topical reports.

 

The exact portfolio assumed will be tailored to suit the individual’s skills and experience and is expected to grow over time. The portfolio will involve collaboration with the other teams at Fitch Ratings EMEA.

 

What You Need to Have:

  • Proven regional experience in corporates and excellent credit skills gained in a bank credit department, rating agencies, buy-side credit department, equity research, accounting or consultancy practice, etc.
  • Analysts and Big 4 Consultants or Accountants interested to transition into credit analysis.
  • Previous experience preferably analysing industrial companies in Trading, Contracting, Building Materials, Engineering and Construction sectors in the GCC.
  • Strong modelling skills and hands-on experience with spreadsheet-based financial models.
  • Ability to lead and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment independently.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and display a strong degree of flexibility to take on additional responsibilities, as required.
  • Ability to handle conflict constructively.

 

  • Solid written and verbal communications skills.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and Arabic. Arabic is essential.
  • Preference for Saudi and GCC Nationals.
