Senior Analyst, Technology, Media & Telecom

Fitch is seeking a Senior Analyst to cover the Telecommunications, Media, and Technology (TMT) sector in Brazil, based in São Paulo or Rio de Janeiro.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will:

• Have a strong interest in the Telecommunications, Media, and Technology industries
• Possess strong financial statement analysis skills
• Be eager to deepen their knowledge of debt capital markets
• Demonstrate leadership and the ability to engage proactively and effectively with internal and external stakeholders
• Be able to assess and explain complex analytical topics with sound judgment and intellectual rigor

Qualitative strengths will play an important role in the selection process. Intellectual curiosity, strong analytical thinking, and the ability to explain complex topics clearly are essential. Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this role include:

• Analyzing key quantitative and qualitative factors that influence the credit quality of companies in the TMT sectors
• Maintaining comprehensive financial models
• Participating with senior analysts in meetings with management teams across the TMT industries
• Supporting the preparation of presentations for internal credit rating committees
• Contributing to the evaluation of other credits within the Corporates group and related credit teams

Qualifications

Candidates should have:

• Fluency in English and Portuguese required; Good level in Spanish is preferred
• A Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a business-related field with a focus on Finance
• At least 2–3 years of relevant analytical or professional experience
• Previous experience in credit analysis or within the financial industry preferred
• A CFA/CPA designation or candidacy preferred
• Relevant experience in, or knowledge of, the TMT sectors preferred
• Capital markets and/or credit analysis experience preferred
• Strong proficiency in Excel and Word
• Proven database management and macro development skills preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
• The ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and the ability to manage multiple projects as priorities shift
• The ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment and build effective internal and external relationships
