CreditSights,a member of Fitch Group, is currently seeking a full-time APAC Senior Corporate Credit Analyst based out of our Singapore office.
 

CreditSights is a leading independent credit research provider, headquartered in New York. We produce fundamental and quantitative research on bond issuers in the US, Europe and Asia. The firm has a large number of institutional clients around the world, including banks, investment advisors, mutual funds, pension managers, insurance companies, hedge funds, private equity firms and corporations. The company is owned by the Fitch Group. Our Singapore office produces research on Asian corporates and financial institutions.

We’ll Count on You To:

  • Lead the corporates research team in conducting fundamental credit analysis of corporates in Mainland China/Hong Kong/South Korea/Japan/Australia and their $ bonds.
  • Meet current and prospective clients to discuss and market CreditSights’ research products, in conjunction with our sales team.
  • Collaborate with other Asia-Pacific credit analysts on common topics, such as sector-level analysis or relative value views.
  • Manage and training junior research analysts.
  • Interact with colleagues in our New York and London offices on research topics to ensure common views on market outlook and sectoral views.
  • Occasionally travel overseas to meet CreditSights clients or meet issuers.

What You Need to Have:

  • At least 7 years’ experience conducting corporate credit research related to APAC markets. A record of previous publications would be preferred.
  • An in-depth understanding of credit market conditions and dynamics, broad trends across key corporate sectors, and country-level macro conditions.
  • Strong financial modelling skills.
  • Excellent English writing skills; able to write quickly and prolifically. 
  • Fluency in Mandarin, as the candidate will be responsible for China corporate coverage and may need to communicate with issuers and investors in Chinese. Outstanding candidates who do not have Mandarin capability could also be considered.
  • A record of extensive issuer/investor interaction.
  • Familiarity with using databases such as WIND, Dealogic and Bloomberg.
  • Ability to multi-task, a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work well in a small team.
  • Undergraduate / post graduate degree. CFA designation seen favourably.

  • Demonstrated capability across both IG and HY markets, across sectors.
  • Experience in analysing non-China property distressed credits.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A can-do attitude to roll up sleeves and publish research quickly.
  • A flexible attitude to pivot to the latest client interests.
