We are looking for a passionate, solution-oriented and experienced Sales Specialist to be responsible for growing our Award-winning & World-class BMI business (Country Risk & Industry Research) within our entire Australia, NZ & South Pacific Region. Reporting directly to the Regional Head, this role is to actively seek new sales opportunities and prospect huge potential cross-sell into our existing clients; establish, implement strategic plans to grow the region, and co-ordinate with internal teams to deliver on our business target and ambition. With significant potential, white space and working with highly performing team, this is a great opportunity for an ambitious, commercial, and sales orientated individual keen to develop the long-term sales career within a growing sales function.

 

The incumbent of this role will be:

  • Managing and overseeing Fitch Solutions BMI business across all countries within the region.
  • Actively establishing and building strong relationship with C-suites, decision makers to win new logos, and cross-selling into existing clients.
  • Setting up and engaging strategic meetings with clients and potential customers to identify the new sales opportunities with strong product knowledge, market knowledge, competitive landscape and being highly organised and accomplished at solving problems and closing deals.
  • Leveraging cross-functional internal teams (including Client Services, Product Specialists, Analysts, Marketing) to develop the strategic plans to actively approach new potential customers and displace competitors.
  • Assisting the Regional Head to create a highly-performing team.

 

Person Specification

  • Degree educated (or equivalent) within a Finance, Business, Commerce or Economics discipline. Strong knowledge of Macro Economics, Country Risk, Industry Research is required;
  • Around 5 to 10 years of experience with business development, especially new logo hunting;
  • Experience in building strong relationship with C-suites, decision makers and client facing role with cold calling, product demoing and training;
  • Confident and professional telephone manner to develop rapport quickly with prospective clients.   
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written with ability to communicate clearly and concisely by email
  • Excellent time management, organisational skills and strong initiative/results driven
  • Proficient user of Outlook and other Microsoft applications, particularly Excel
  • Applicants must have excellent attention to detail, be pro-active and hardworking
  • Fluency in English is essential
  • Knowledge of Salesforce considered a bonus
